Soukaina Boutiyeb
Executive Director, Alliance des femmes de la francophonie canadienne
Soukaina Boutiyeb holds a B.A. in International Development and Globalization with a minor in Women’s Studies, and a M.A. in Conflict Studies, as well as a D.É.S. in the Development of Social Organizations. She is recognized as a dedicated community leader through her involvement in the women’s sector, in the Francophonie of Ontario and in Canada.
She was the first visible minority president of ACFO Ottawa and the driving force behind the bilingual Ottawa project. She has also spearheaded initiatives to promote the contribution of francophone women in all their plurality, and to help protect the rights of francophone and Acadian communities.
A woman of action, in addition to being the Executive Director of the Alliance des femmes de la francophonie canadienne, she is a member of the Board of Governors of Saint Paul University, a member of the Board of Directors of Montfort Renaissance and of the CÉSOC.
In recognition of her work, Soukaina is the recipient of Relève ON’s Jeune Leader inclusive award (2022), the Fondation franco-ontarienne’s Saphir Engagement communautaire award (2021) and the University of Ottawa’s Jeune leader award (2020).
