Sheilagh Doherty

Program Manager, High Economic Impact Projects, City of Ottawa

Sheilagh Doherty is a Program Manager, High Economic Impact Projects with the City of Ottawa. In this role, Sheilagh leads the development and implementation of the City’s Economic Development Strategy, including the City’s knowledge-based business, rural and community economic development programs and initiatives. In addition, Sheilagh also manages the City’s High Economic Impact Projects Program, which provides support for significant development initiatives aligned with key city building and economic development priorities.

Sheilagh has authored, co-authored, and led several City of Ottawa Council approved strategies, including Partnerships for Innovation, Smart City Strategy, Rural Economic Development Strategy and the post-pandemic focused Economic Recovery and Rebound Program.

Sheilagh holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of International Business from Carleton University.
